Program Overview

The Technology Apprenticeship Program is designed to help you build the technical industrial skills and make lasting connections to build your network. You can help build the next generation of broadcasting and help build a more innovative future.

This free six-month program kicks off at the forefront of technology advancements at NAB Show in Las Vegas, followed by a paid summer internship at a local radio or television station. During this program, you will explore the advancements in media technology, get hands-on training during a paid internship at a local radio or television station, prepare and take the Certified Broadcast Technologist Exam with the Society of Broadcast Engineers and network with technology and engineering leaders to build your network and advance your career.

Whether you are looking to work on specialized technology projects or help lay the technical groundwork for expanding a station, this program provides the tactical training and certified qualifications you need to make you a successful engineer.

Become a certified broadcast technologist

Become a Certified Broadcast Technologist. Be recognized and show your professional status in the engineering workforce. This certification is recognized as the primary method of proving your knowledge against the highest standard. During this program, you will receive the study materials and information to take this exam and show your worth to the entire broadcast industry.

Build your resume and portfolio

Build your resume and portfolio. Build up your resume and portfolio with a summer internship and capstone project. During this program, you will be placed in a paid internship at a local radio and television station in your market while working on a capstone project to show your future employers.
